How do I use Texty?
Just type the prefix (default: ;;), followed by your snippet shortcut, then a space. For example, ;;sig ␣ will expand into your full text. You can also just type ;; to browse all your snippets.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your snippets are stored entirely on your device (chrome.storage.local). Texty never sends your snippet content or typing data to any server. Only Pro licenses require communication with our server for validation.
Why doesn't expansion work on some forms?
Texty intentionally does not work on sensitive fields like passwords, credit card numbers, login pages, and payment forms. This is a security feature to protect your sensitive data.
How do I undo an expansion?
Press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) within 5 seconds after expansion. The text will revert to your original shortcut.
What are the free tier limits?
The free tier allows up to 10 snippets. For unlimited snippets, you can upgrade to Pro Lifetime.
